About me
My name is Nicolas Carter and I am a graduate of the Design Media Arts program at University of California, Los Angeles. This is where I learned many of my design skills using Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. For the past year I had been working as Creative Designer for a photographer called Gray Malin. He runs an e-commerce website where people purchase his artwork and products. It is a lifestyle brand more than anything. I was in charge of designing products and packaging for our brand collaborations with companies such a S'well Bottles, FUNBOY, Sperry Top Sider, Sprinkles Cupcakes and Veuve Clicquot to name a few. I was also in charge of creating and maintaining marketing/brand collateral for the website and social media accounts (ie. Instagram and Facebook). Working closely with world renowned brands allowed me to see and appreciate how a large business is run.
Prior to that I have experience as a production assistant for film and photography. Working on sets for short films, music videos and photo shoots taught me how to work efficiently and effectively in a large team environment. Having to meet quick deadlines in a high pressure environment helps become well organized.
I have a lot of experience working in a fast paced work environment where I have to meet strict deadlines with short notice and am able to manage my time appropriately in order to achieve the best results possible. I love fashion and everything that encompasses the fashion lifestyle and I would be very interested in meeting for interview.
