About me

I have worked in the European Logistics / Operations Support Department of Federal Mogul Corporation, where my position as a New Product Introduction Co-ordinator required me to act as a first point of contact for the project team, in accordance with Project Guidelines -

taking a product from inception to completion within the Federal Mogul manufacturing sites Pan Europe, Czech Republic, South Africa and America.

Federal-Mogul Corporation is $6.3 billion global supplier to the automotive, light commercial, heavy-duty truck, off-highway, agricultural, marine, rail and industrial markets, boasting a 45,000 strong workforce located in 35 countries.

The role required excellent communication skills, the ability to read engineering drawings, check newly sourced components were up to specification and ensure QA reports were carried out at the sites. Working closely with marketing and the product engineers to reduce manufacturing costs and achieve higher selling prices in order to meet strict budget and working with the IS department to tailor IT packages for use within the PM department.

An element of travel was expected with this role - mainly visiting sites and project partners to confirm tooling up was feasible. The role also included dealing with suppliers to reduce lead times, producing reports on the sites weekly despatch and monthly load, and working with product managers on Bills of Materials amongst other duties. Preparation and deliverance of weekly updates and monthly presentations to the European site Directors, European Director of Operations and the Vice President was essential - this included progress reports, trouble shooting and forecasting. I have worked with Federal Mogul for 5 years in various positions and gained a very good understanding of manufacturing and production needs.

More recently I have full filled a contract role at Navtrak limited boasting clients such as Bentley Motors, Ferrari, Maserati and Land Rover. As a Technical Project Coordinator I provided technical and project management support. Ensuring targets and priorities were achieved, liaising with project partners, and focusing on achieving deadlines. I provided administrative support to the Operations Director and also prepared and presented reports both internally and externally. This included diary management, coordination of engineers, meetings, new product details being communicated across the board and some Account Managers duties such as logistics / supplier to customer liaison

As the above roles present - I have experience in project/program/planning and operations dealing with many areas. I am interested in a similar role or a new challenge which will utilise my excellent communication skills, ability to work with technical products and exceptional project management.
