About me

My name is Nicky Fletcher and I graduated in 2010 with a BA (HONS) Fashion Studies degree at The University of Lincoln. Having now finished with a high 2:1 grade, I aspire to work in a creative fashion environment where my previously acquired skills and education can be utilised, and I can work to the best of my abilities. Working with an established fashion brand or retailer would enable me to develop and gain vital experience.

During my position as a visual merchandiser for All Saints it involved the creation of the monthly directive and planning at the Westbourne Grove model store. This also involved styling and outfit building within presentations and mannequins to maximise sales and demonstrate to customers how garments could be worn. Working as a visual merchandiser also involved compiling the weekly product report, collecting staff comments and customer feedback. This role has taught me about managing time and prioritising tasks and has shown that I have exceptional styling abilities, whilst always looking to maximise sales and complement current trends.

From an early age, I have always been passionate about fashion and I am very driven, keeping up to date with current trends. I have also found that the experience I gained through the styling course I attended at Istituto Marangoni has benefited and increased my knowledge for styling garments and I now have a greater appreciation of trend concepts.

I am very dedicated, with excellent communication and organisational skills and I would relish the chance to work within a vibrant and creative team. I am keen to learn and always give every job my total attention and maximum effort. I have a great understanding in pattern cutting and manufacture. I am PC and MAC literate and have an advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.

Please find my CV attached, outlining my work experience and educational background for your consideration.

I'm available for an interview at your convenience.

Sincerely,

Nicky Fletcher.
