About me

Art Director at Firebrand, UK Independent Merchandise Co.

Working with clients to produce briefs, account managers and designers on the creative solutions, liaising with suppliers and printers on production and supporting the design team. The day to day is fast-paced design for festival and band merch for retail and tour, creating and providing artwork and resources for retail and licensing accounts and managing the design team workload, maintaining high standards.

I work closely with Festival Republic ( Latitude/ Reading and Leeds), Bestival & Camp Bestival, Creamfields, Benicassim and Lollaplaooza, managing summer work schedules with in-house and freelance designers and taking a more direct role in creating the design theme each year.

I also work on some non-music licences including Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Dreamworks and other global exhibition projects. I have designed merchandise ranges and exhibition guides in multiple languages with teams at HBO and Warner Bros and have experience navigating design in the licensing world and working in other cultures. I have good knowledge of photography and often travel to shoot exhibition content for the guidebooks.

More recently I've been developing artist stores to push the online offering, understanding Shopify and e-commerce platforms, print on-demand and the social media marketing that goes with it.

Technically - I use the full Adobe creative suite daily for photo editing, illustration, typography and layout and have general HTML/Web knowledge.
