About me
Nick Pike is a London-based producer, multi-instrumentalist and performer, playing primarily Piano and Saxophone. Nick is an award-winning composer and has had his music played all over the world.
His solo work is mainly Neo-Classical piano solos and piano-led music, characterised by simple melodies, lush harmony and akin to such compositions as those of Ludovico Einaudi, Yiruma, Alexis Ffrench, Ólafur Arnalds and Nils Frahm.
He was brought up on a strict diet of Ludwig van Beethoven, Claude Debussy and Frédéric Chopin giving him his love of Classical tropes but his professional life has been spent playing in a hugely diverse range of Jazz, folk, function and funk bands creating a love of soul groove, jazz harmony and pop elements. These two worlds come together to give Nick's music its unique flavour.
Nick's releases to date vary from his debut album 'Norastoria', a hybrid orchestral soundtrack album released at the beginning of 2024 to 'Evergreen,' a solo piano sleep album released not long afterwards. Other 2024 releases include the four track piano solo EP 'Day Dances', the three track EP 'No Excuse," sung by the fantastic Lorena Dale.
Nick Pike's piano music is easy to listen to and is generally used for stress relief, chill out time, focus whilst working, studying, reading, sleeping better, or simply as background music.
In real life Nick has a dog and doesn't ever speak in the third person.
