About me

Dear Sir/Madam,

I'm responding to your job listed on Creative Pool. I have spent the past 3 years studying Graphic Design at the University of Lincoln and I feel that this company would give me a great chance to start my career. I am eager to start and learn.

I loved University; it enabled me to discover my strengths and work on many different briefs using a range of media. University has taught me a lot about how to approach a brief; and how much work needs to go into every single project and the need to work quickly and efficiently, but I appreciate that it can only teach me so much. To really gain an understanding of what being a graphic designer involves, I need to work within the industry. I have had some work experience in the real world of Graphic Design (most recently in 2015) and I hope that by getting industry experience I can become a better designer.

I feel that this job is right for me because as a recent graduate, I am a young, with a lot of ambition and a strong will to make an impact. I am prepared to work hard and I have enough skills to have a go at different projects (for example, I know my way around Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign). I am adaptable and flexible which means that I am willing to try anything once even if it is out of my comfort zone, as I want to expand my own skill set further. All I want is to do well, create good work, realise my potential and bring value to your company and this job.
