About me

Hi there!

My name is Nicholas Singh and I grew up, attended university, and completed an internship in Melbourne, Australia. I studied a Bachelor of Interactive Media at Victoria University which was a broad overview of many forms of design that included web and graphic design, video and sound editing, photography as well as basic web development (HTML/CSS/PHP/Javascript).

In that time I was lucky enough to be chosen to do a year long internship alongside my degree with professional Australian rules football club, the Western Bulldogs. There I was working alongside the Membership and Fan Development team producing engaging material for game-day, social media, and membership drives. It was a valuable experience and one I flourished in, so much so I was offered a permanent role but subsequently turned down to travel.

Most recently I completed a six week internship over November and December at London based branding and marketing agency, Designwerk, where I assisted on projects for the Rugby Hall of Fame that included working on developing storyboards for promo videos for the Rugby Hall of Fame and the Shane Williams Handoff Challenge as well as various future social media posts and stories associated with the upcoming Handoff Challenge.

I see myself as a hardworking and easy going graphic designer/photographer with skills in Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign and now have a desire to find a role that enables me to build upon my skill set, learn new ones, and gain practical experience full time. Seeing a pathway forward is important as well as learning from other senior colleagues, and adding industry work to my own folio.

I see London as being best suited for me to build a successful career and develop in the creative industry. Having spent nearly two years in the United Kingdom I've come to love it and have built roots here and thus am eager to stay long term. This would require sponsorship from an employer and a show of faith but I trust in my abilities and character to shine through and prove a worthy member of the team.
