About me

My name is Nicholas Cranston. I am a design graduate living in Brighton (in the process of moving to London) with some branding and advertising experience under my belt, and I am now looking to take on a new challenge and build upon my career. The opportunity that you are offering on the gumtree.com website is something that I am very interested in.

So far in my career my experience has been mainly in design for print. In my previous job as a designer and general assistant with Engineering Plastics LTD, I was in charge of the production of advertising and corporate material which were published in various construction magazines or sent directly to prospective clients. Working closely with the company directors I was also heavily involved in the creation of their website, photographing products and modernising their brand whilst adhering to their brand guidelines. I was also involved in other aspects of the business, such as liaising with clients and the transport companies, both face to face and over the phone, and general day to day office duties (filing, data input, paperwork, tea making!). Having a good eye for detail, being flexible and able to manage my time effectively we're essential attributes in this role, as deadlines we're tight and I was often undertaking a variety of tasks at once.
