About me

I am a enthusiastic Graphic Designer and Creative Artworker I am
keen to be part of a vibrant business. I have a passionate interest in
designing information to make it useful and fun to read. With a sharp
eye for detail and a clear sense of when to add ideas and creativity, I
am always ready to learn new skill and improve my knowledge.

I have worked as a freelance Artworker and Graphic Designer in
offices and studios for over three years. I have created print ready
artworks from sketches and concepts on a variety different material
including work for web, print and exhibitions presentations. Working
closely with a Graphic Design team to finish designs to a high
standard, I have demonstrated effective time management skills through
consistently meeting deadlines.

In 2008 I worked as in-house Graphic Designer for Lift, (London
International Festival of Theatre) a charity that ran 10 day arts
events in Stratford, the Southbank Centre and the Shoreditch Festival.
I worked closely with the marketing team on the festivals identity,
designing all areas of print for numerous events, apply design styles
and guidelines across a range of materials.

I worked closely with the festival producer, Pete Staves on Mapping
the London Flood Plains, a three day event at the Southbank Centre. I
took responsibility for this project, sourcing the information needed
and managing the overall design for a detailed map of the route. I
delegated tasks to an intern including negotiated with the Environment
Agency to provide a predictive map showing rising sea levels in London.
I arranged meetings with Southwark Cyclists, Pete Staves and interns to
devise the route and develop my design as a team. I then sourced a
printing company and selected size, colour and delivery to the
Southbank Centre. The map was the key navigational guide used by
participants and has since been re-used by Southwark Cyclists
independently.

Having worked with Macs for over 6 years I have an excellent
knowledge of using Adobe CS4 and a very good understanding of Microsoft
office programs. My passion lies in Adobe Illustrator where I have
created beautiful digital illustrations. I also have a love for layout
design and in my spare time create 'artists books' for emerging
creative writers and photographers.
