About me

Immediately after graduating, I joined a small design agency based in Chester, where I worked with as a designer for seven months. Alongside working full time, I also joined a couple of agencies as a freelance designer and kept in close connection as an outsource designer.

I have gained studio experience working for various design agencies, seeking employment from a very young age. Prior to starting university I worked on placement for six months, joining the Graphic Design department at Lindstrand Balloons. Whilst there I helped assist with rebranding their company, and designing hot air balloons for many of Lindstrand's clients, including BBC's Top Gear, Churchill, Nokia and Sloggi.

I have been hired to work on numerous freelance projects, my most recent projects include branding and website designs for many start-up businesses. I have also recently worked on larger freelance projects; designing the identity and all the promotional material for the theatre production company, Chester Performs styling the theme and being the design face of the production 'I Was Once Adored'.

During my time at Entyce, I worked closely with the team to re-brand their design agency. My design was lead forward, and the complete re-brand included signage, stationary, website design which was to work across mobile devices, iPad and many other digital interfaces. Further roles included meeting brief requirements and deadlines, designing for both print and web across many platforms, and my strong written communication skills allowed me to have responsible roles in social media, and keeping the blog continuously updated.

I am now currently studying part-time for a Masters degree in Design, focusing my investigations around branding. Studying part time allows me to continue gaining experience within the design industry, as well as develop my knowledge within the theory side of design and explore research through practice; continuing to develop my conceptual thinking. I look at this as an effective balance of learning.

I have experience in a range of professional software, using each on a daily basis and designing for both web and print. I am able to work in a team and collaborate with other practitioner's, as well as liaise with the client to meet the brief requirements.

Alongside studying I am a freelance designer for a couple of agencies in the North West and North Wales, however I am now looking for full time employment and something I am able to offer my full commitment to and take on something more exciting and creatively challenging.

I am highly ambitious, enthusiastic and always determined to keep learning and developing my design knowledge.
