About me

I graduated this summer in Surface Pattern Design from Staffordshire University and I am currently looking for work as a junior designer.

During my five years of studying Surface Pattern Design, I have I have shown excellent diversity and creativity. I have experimented with a diverse range of media and techniques including, print, embroidery, collage and also learnt a lot about CAD and its benefits, by using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

Working on live projects, during my time at university has enabled me to develop a great awareness and understanding of the design world and I am very keen to broaden my knowledge in this area.

Recent projects that I have worked on include:

· Designing placemats for the 'Denby' range in Debenhams.

· Product designs for newborn babies for the 'Tigerprint' range in Marks and Spencers

· Surfboard and promotional material designs for a target market of 16-24 year old females who are interested in extreme sports.

· Wallpaper design in repeat, inspired by the works of 'Matisse'

I am Currently working at Penk Insurance, where alongside my office duties, I have helped to re-designing the office and many of its promotional materials. I am also attending a night class into improve my CAD skills.

I am looking for a job that will accommodate my diverse creative nature, give me a challenge and create new opportunities for the rest of my employment.
