Dear Sir/Madam,

I am sure that you are tired of looking through covering letters and C.V.s pronouncing how they are the perfect candidate, if you are not then you will be very soon. However, I feel that I am perfect for the role, not in a superficial copy-and-pasted covering letter way but in a genuine real life, actually performing the duties efficiently on time, smiling whilst doing so kind of way. I am very excited that a position has appeared to work with you, you seem really fun from your website. I will aim to show why you should employ me as a Freelance Copywriter is a field of which I have great experience.

I have achieved a 2.1 in English literature where accuracy is a primary skill in order to argue a point one must be able to articulate with great dexterity in order to convince the reader of the reasoning. This has developed into Mozart-like precision as shown by every sentence that I have sharply scripted for this application. This degree has also improved my writing skills as I have a vast vocabulary and a great use of written English as well as created an increased sense of empathy as, I feel, this is a primary tool for a great reader. These skills will come in very useful when working for you as a greater accuracy of copy will be maintained with no mistakes.

I have lived in Paris for nearly two years where I was a freelance English teacher, proofreader and copywriter so I have valuable experience in using the English Language in a vocational setting, not just as a overlooked means of communication. During this period I would have to work to strict deadlines and manage time efficiently as I was being paid per manuscript not by time for the copywriting. Each document would be reviewed with Proustian precision so that the client would have a document with perfect English and conveys exactly what was intended.

I have worked on content for Mouth London magazine on a freelance basis where I would write copy in the form of articles, essays or short stories in order to advertise, review or make people aware of a certain product. They gave me the space to practice with different voice from imitating the minimalism or Carver, or lush descriptions of DeLillo or the maximal Foster Wallace. I found it fun and vastly improved my sense of versatility. I would love to bring these skills when working with you and I am more than happy to show you examples of my wrting.

I would just like to say that I have just moved back from Paris in the intention of finding an interesting company to work for. You are it. Also I can give you much more information to why I am suitable for the role but I am sure you have a pile of more sycophantic pieces to look at. Lastly, I am honest, proactive, enthusiastic, hard working person that is fun to work with, I hope we have the opportunity to do so and I am ready to start straight away, with regard to my C.V.
