About me

I'm currently Chief Marketing Officer for GE Additive - responsible for market intelligence, product strategy, product marketing, branding, advertising, lead generation, media/PR and employee communications.

I was born in Walsall, England and achieved a Diploma in Hospitality Management from Cheltenham & Gloucester College of Higher Education. Following a year working in Florida, I returned to college and graduated with a BSc (Hons) degree in Business Management and Marketing. After University, I worked in fashion retail for `United Colors of Benetton, Sisley and Laura Ashley - managing various stores around the South West.

I joined London-based Smiths`Industries in 1999 working in Commercial Operations, and later taking leadership roles in Product Management, Sales and Marketing. In 2006, I studied Strategic Marketing at the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) and later joined Smiths' UK leadership team responsible for Strategy and Business Development.

Smiths' Aerospace division was acquired by GE in 2007 and I joined their business integration team - leading organization design, policies and procedures for the Sales and Marketing division. When Cincinnati, Ohio became the HQ for the newly formed GE Aviation Systems business, I moved to the US to become a Master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma focusing on improving commercial processes.

With a strong desire to focus on Marketing Communications, I joined GE Aviation's Global Communications team in 2010, leading communications for various GE Aviation business units, and later leading Marketing Communications for all of GE Aviation - covering brand, advertising, shows & events, digital and social media and creative services.

In August 2016, I joined a GE team developing a strategy to move into additive manufacturing (3D printing) - later becoming GE Additive. Initially focused on setting up the Communications group, I later took on the additional responsibility for Marketing and Communications.

A trained chef, amateur runner and with a passion for all things advertising, I spend my time doing two things: driving my two young daughters to their various activities and walking the dog.
