About me
With over four-years' design experience, gained on market leading, national magazine titles, I am now looking for my next creative challenge.
As the Art Editor of Porsche title, Total 911, I am solely responsible for designing the magazine. From initial cover concepts, to commissioning photos, designing impactful pages, and sending completed PDFs to print, I am involved in all areas of magazine production. Prior to this I worked as Deputy Art Editor on Fast Car, the UK's leading modified car title.
Coming from a monthly magazine background, I am used to working to tight deadlines, and know InDesign and Photoshop inside out. I have experience of working within a dynamic editorial team, as well as managing my own workflow, including liaising with contributors, illustrators, photographers and printers. I have also directed numerous studio and location photo shoots, from static products to cover models.
Although my recent experience has been on automotive titles, I previously worked with the Art Studio at Future Publishing, where I designed a wide variety of titles ranging from EDGE and Official Playstaion to Mountain Biking UK . As such, I recognise the different approaches required by individual magazines and can work to any brief.
With a creative eye and meticulous attention to detail, I pride myself on producing visually stimulating concepts that engage and seduce the viewer. However if a more ‘hands on' approach is needed, I am not one to shy away from any design-based challenge.
With my previous experience, creative drive, and out-going personality, I feel I could contribute a lot to design studios and teams.
