A highly resourceful and versatile educator and designer who possesses a well-trained eye for both composition and color. Utilizing excellent communications skills can competently work with a wide range of people, often under pressure, while managing colleague and client expectations professionally and efficiently. Capable of picking up new software quickly and enjoys any new challenges.
After 8 years as a respected digital media professor in the USA it was time to return to the UK and back to a career within the field of graphic and motion design.
My design work encompasses many disciplines from title sequences, effects, logo design, commercials and 3D modeling through to image creation, modification and retouching.

I have many years experience dealing with written and verbal design briefs and then translating them into creative solutions either as a solo designer or as part of a team. I enjoy the challenges associated in working with open ended briefs and coming up with an idea that the client wishes to see turned into an exciting and stimulating finished piece of work. Changes are inevitable, so proper management of projects is essential. I am always prepared for requirements to alter and work to be reviewed or re-assessed, as well as the need for these developments to be taken care of quickly and effectively.
My technical experience covers use of the many and varied graphics packages required in a creative environment. Over the years I have had to learn new software from scratch, many times without any training, but through experiment, tutorials and real projects.
For several years I taught as an Assistant (now Associate) Professor of Digital Media at McPherson College, Kansas, where I develop and teach undergraduate courses in the fields of Communication and Art & Design. It was a challenging role that I enjoyed a great deal but I have decided to return to the UK (July 2024) and I am looking for exciting new opportunities within the design field.
