About me

I am an experienced account and sales manager with many years of
experience in the photographic industry. I have a strong professional
background in photography, having worked in sales and management as
well as a commercial and press photographer and picture editor. As a
photographer, I have coved everything from International news stories
to corporate events. As a sales manager, I have sold all types of
photography from portraits on cruise ships to top -end professional
catalogue and advertising images. I've also maintained and
increased our portfolio of clients which include some of the UK's
biggest high street brands and I have a large portfolio of industry
contacts including International Wire Services, National Newspapers,
and numerous professional press and commercial photographers.
I am currently working for Classic Pix in central London as an
account manager and sales director. I also have quite a hands-on roll
as a studio manager were some of my duties include the production and
management of all our studio - based photo-shoots, i.e.
photographs, models, stylists etc. It is also my duty ensuring that all
elements are in place to create a smooth and efficient shoot and by
building strong business relationships both internally and externally.
I'm also the point of liaison between the creative directors and
clients and other members of staff including the photographers and
retouches and responsible for the scheduling and monitoring of all
creative jobs, prioritising all work and keeping to deadlines and
budgets as well as purchasing and all other areas of the business.
Apart from my wide range of industry contacts and photographic
knowledge, I have many years' experience in management positions,
ranging from managing photographic departments on cruise ships and
managing the photographic content of 12 weekly newspapers at Trinity
Mirror.
I believe that I can make a significant contribution to your
organisation I am a good communicator with people at all levels, and I
am organised, committed, hardworking, creative and professional in my
approach to work. As an experienced man-manager, I have always had
excellent results training staff in the use of new equipment such as
digital printing equipment, cameras and software and customer service.
I am also a self-motivator with ability to pick up new technologies
quickly and comprehensively and pass on the knowledge to others
concisely and confidently. I am happy to travel and I have a clean
driving licence.
