About me

I am an experienced sub-editor/writer with a graduate level education, French and Spanish language skills, and completed an NUJ recognised Magazine Sub-Editing course at the London School of Publishing.

I am currently working as a freelance sub-editor. Proficient in InDesign, I am able to fit pages, select pull-quotes, and write headlines, stand firsts and captions. I have worked on a variety of magazines at IPC, Hachette Filipacchi UK and Boston Hannah International, and have experience of fact checking, correcting spelling and grammar, rewriting copy in accordance with house style, and taking in authors' and editorial amendments.

I have also worked as a proofreader at Lick Creative and '9-5' Magazine and, at IPC Creative and Hachette Filipacchi Promotions, I have written copy for advertorials and creative pitches. Meticulous in my attention to detail, I am used to working to tight deadlines, and enjoy the challenge of producing quality copy under pressure. You will see from my CV that I worked as a Researcher/writer at Index on Censorship, researching, writing and editing short news items. I was also commissioned to write a feature article that was published in the journal.

Many thanks.

Regards,

Nathalie de Broglio
