Natasha's work

About Natasha

I am interested in engaging my academic, practical and communication skills in a fast-paced, professional and mentally stimulating environment. I have had the responsibility of managing staff and volunteers in previous job roles and have effective negotiating and problem solving skills. I would like to work as part of a team, utilising and combining skills, to achieve successful outcomes. Given the opportunity I will prove my capability as an adaptable person who has a strong work ethic that can be applied to any environment.

I have worked in various professions including hospitality, which can often be extremely challenging. As a supervisor, my aim is to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers at all times. I have also had the pleasure of being duty manager and key holder of a National Trust grade one listed building, where I also managed a team of volunteers. I found inspiring the volunteers to work and continue working challenging but above all rewarding. I am always willing to put myself forward for new experiences; in University I was Student representative for the third year fine art and art history students. The essential element of being course representative was being trusted to speak on behalf of the student body, whilst maintaining confidentiality as appropriate. I became much more confident and comfortable with public speaking and attended meetings with staff and students to negotiate and develop ideas that resulted in improved communication between faculties and ultimately provided a smoother running course.

Research and analytical projects are a natural process to me because I approach them creatively, to record and also to understand and interpret information. I won a Travel Bursary of two hundred and fifty pounds in my third year of university for my dissertation research. In Sixth Form I completed an Open University course in Forensic Science.

I believe that my rich and varied skill set, as well as my approachable personality, would be an asset to your team.
