About me
My name is Natasha Hancock -thank you for taking the time to consider my application. I have an English Language and Literature 2.1 BA degree from Oxford University (Pembroke College) as well as an MA in Acting from Central Saint Martins. Dismissing all modesty -!- I am highly competent: intelligent, articulate, innovative, enthusiastic and a fast-learner. I am very capable of taking the initiative and learning independently whilst also working very well in a group.
I have experience in several fields using a variety of skills -for instance interviewing individuals and writing articles for The Talent Magazine or working as a film production assistant for The Edge Picture Company. I also have a lot of administration, secretarial and organizing experience whilst also having developed skills in other fields -for example I have acted in corporate role-plays, lead groups and worked in hospitality, sales and promotions. I am also very computer-literate with a Cambridge Information Technology Certificate (I recently designed the website *).
Recently I have been teaching, amongst other things, presentation and communication skills to groups of business people -I could therefore draw upon these skills to communicate well with clients (or run a complimentary course for the company I join -usually priced at £500 per person, per day). I have an Advanced Professional Presentation Skills Certificate as well as a Neuro-Linguistic Programming Diploma. This NLP Diploma, with independent research, has helped to further advance my communication skills (as well as other skills) since it is related to psychology, language, how the mind works and how we communicate. I have also been teaching/coaching English Language and Literature, pronunciation, business english and acting. My written skills are polished (whilst my voice is engaging, clear and RP/received pronunciation).
I am open to suggestions re positions -I have a very strong interest in film and television however I am also very motivated by the salary so am open to a variety of suggestions. Media companies -advertising, journalism, possibly marketing amongst other things such as psychology-related companies are all of interest. I am looking for permanent positions however please also suggest temporary ones to me -even if they are for a few weeks or months as I may be keen to do them and then continue searching for a permanent position after having completed them.
I am based in London so am primarily thinking of working here however if there is a job with opportunities to travel abroad (whether mainly based in London or not) this would also appeal very strongly. I am very open to the possibility of moving abroad -perhaps to Rome (preferably) as I have a weakness for Italy and am learning Italian (Greece and other countries also appeal). Otherwise elsewhere -it does not have to be in Europe but can be the opposite side of the world! If you let me know what is available I may very well be keen if the salary is good.
Having said the above the positions I am put forward for do not have to be in any of the above fields -if the salary is notably more enticing doing a job in a completely different field then I may well take that job. It is therefore hard to specify a salary figure since my expectations would vary according to the job and field it is in -if it is an area I am highly interested in I would be willing to work for less and if it is of less interest I would only be keen if it were paid better. I am extremely capable and so feel free to suggest a variety of positions to me.
Thank you very much once again for your time and I am looking forward to hearing from you -my number is whilst my email is .
Yours,
Natasha Hancock
