Dear Sir / Madam,
On reflection of reviewing the creative interns opportunity I would like to apply.
I have a background in Industrial product design and I am currently studying Interactive Product Futures at Ravensbourne University. I would definitely jump at the chance to apply my gained knowledge in the development of new exciting products and technolgies. Research and testing is an aspect of design that I really enjoy, I'm currently working with Cisco conducting research and helping with the marketing on a project they are taking part in and I'm finding it a very valuable and enjoyable. Anyone can design a product, but I believe innovation behind a product is the aspect that truly makes it stand out against its competitors.
Whilst being a full time student I was also a part time intern at Cisco. I was part of a team and project called RAPTOR, working on utilising digital technologies within the transport and retail sectors within the North Greenwich area to enhance the overall experience people have whilst around the O2 arena. I conducted research into the current situation on the Peninsula and aid with the development of solutions, such as an iPhone Application to 'breathe new life' into the area. This Internship has been very beneficial to me as I have gained a lot of knowledge regarding working within the professional environment and have really been able to strengthen my interpersonal and communication skills. Working at Cisco has given me a craving for the team environment and I really feel I would have a lot to offer the team.
I believe this is the perfect opportunity for me to excel myself into an area that I'm so keen to delve into. I have the motivation to embrace the valuable new knowledge, but I also feel I would be able to offer a variety of new creative ideas which I have developed throughout my academics. I am an enthusiastic and committed individual who relishes working in a team.
