About me
I'm a focused and highly motivated, creative person, and drawing is something that is part of me. I feel inarticulate without it. Illustration has influenced and driven my work for as long as I can remember, and it has become a core influence in many of the things I do. Drawing enables me to express my ideas and be lucidly creative, helping me to solve problems. I use what is around me and love to help others. I can think and draw together. My drawing has always been something that enables me to visualise projects. To be able to further this interest into digital media, would be a really positive opportunity for me and would add to my visual repertoire. I am happy to work alongside computers and am quick to learn. I am also trained as a three dimensional sculptor and scale model maker, so have a greater spatial awareness and clear mental image.
I graduated this summer from Wimbledon School of Art, with a 2:1 in Special Effects and Technical Arts and am at present working in The Theatre Royal in Bury St Edmunds. I am a technician, using skills in woodwork and painting to create Props and sets. This experience within a theatre means that I have been trained to think laterally and quickly within a creative, functioning environment, and communicate well with others, thinking on my feet. I feel I could really fly, if given a chance to use my imagination and visual creativity.
I feel overall I am open to any creative venture, as I have confidence in my skills, and relish the opportunity to be challenged while using my creativity.
