About me

Dear Sir/Madam,

I currently work at Boden as a Casting assistant, working in the catalogue and internet photography team to assist and organise the Mini Boden casting department. This role requires me to be highly organised, efficient and have an eye for detail. I work constantly as part of the shoot team, downloading and editing model videos, retouching model photos, designing layouts for presentations and model briefs, updating model database and undertaking general imagery and admin work. I pride myself on being thorough and consistent in my daily work, however, my career goals and aspirations lie within fashion communication and although I enjoy my role as a casting assistant, I feel that my skills and techniques could be used to their full potential in a more creative role as a graphic designer within fashion.

Before I joined Boden, I worked as a creative website assistant at Seaonsonline.co.uk where my main responsibilities were to assist in all creative aspects of the company, including creating graphic layouts for website banners, emails and blog posts, writing copy for products and retouching product photography to upload to the website, using the CMS system. I believe that my experiences in industry have given me great knowledge into how the creative and fashion world works, and know that this is where I am most comfortable and is an environment in which I can develop and excel within.

I am a 1st Class graduate of a BA (Hons) degree in Fashion Communication from Northumbria University, where I developed my skills within photography and design skills for fashion. I have designed a number of layouts and publications throughout my education and working experience, all using my own design initiative, which are evident in my portfolio.

I am an extremely hard working, organised and driven individual who will complete any job to the best of my ability and work very well under pressure on a daily basis to meet deadlines within the department. I have extensive knowledge and understanding in creative programs such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator CS5, iMovie, Pinnacle Studio 15, Microsoft Office and experience with CMS and FTP servers in both Mac and PC operating systems. I am a dedicated and vital part of any team I work within and have the maturity to develop and progress within any job role.
