Dear Ma'am,

I am attaching my resume and samples along with this mail.

I am confidant that my education and diverse experience has provided me with great set of skills with which I can add value to any design house soon after joining.

I would like to brief you about my experience before you go through my resume and sample.

After graduating from Pearl Academy of Fashion in December 2006 I joined Indian designer Elisha W. The company dealt with high end luxury garments. The main focus of the company was to make the garments look inspired form Indian origin but at the same time be appealing to the contemporary clients. Using my acquired skills I contributed well during my stay in the design house.

Apart from developing ideas for the collection on a daily basis my work consisted of various things such as monitoring the design samples, monitoring production on a large scale, making changes to the designs according to the clients personal requirement, organizing stalls for fashion show and other global events, managing sales. It required dealing with large number of skilled workers and giving them detailed knowledge and specs which helped them to do their task quickly and effectively.

My work under her label was highly recommended for creating embroidery samples and a range for the Wills life style India Fashion week, Bridal Asia and the export market. Few traces of my collection can still be found in the Indian market.

After sharpening my skills at Elisha W I moved to New York, USA to get a global exposure in the fashion industry. I started with a six month internship with a famous New York based designer Anna Sui. The company has been in the industry for last 25 years. Their designs are young and energetic, camouflaging well with my skill set. The designs were a mix of interesting graphics and textures. I contributed effectively by creating graphic for T-shirts which was considered by the company. I also assisted with production, pattern making, inspection and packaging of the garments in the fall winter collection NY Fashion 2009.

I further broadened my exposure by freelancing with an upcoming swim wear designer Kathleen Cook. I worked directly under Kathleen Cook and assisted her with illustration, flat sketches and designs of her line. The label can be found in various stores such as Pesca, Henri Bendel, Water Lilly, Agua.

In year 2010 I started to freelance with a Vintage label called Little Wicked in Soho, NY. Selling old fashioned clothes and make it look appealing to the fashionable New York clients was an exciting and challenging experience.

I have currently moved to London and permitted to work in UK.
