About me
Hi, I'm a full-time surface pattern designer and a freelance graphic designer based in Indonesia. I'm also an owner of Fe Pattern Design, a specialised concept online store in patterned products. Fe Pattern Design sell its products locally in Indonesia and also Internationally thorough a website called Redbubble.
Since I graduated in 2011 from one of the universities in Melbourne, Australia, , I've been working as graphic designer (and some other jobs to expand my potential skills). Being interested in surface pattern design was totally a coincidence. I have this hobby of doodling any shapes and pattern randomly, but I never realised that I could transform them into commercial artworks. Then one day, my fiancee encouraged me to try printing my pattern into fabric and it turned surprisingly great. Since that day, I tried to keep doodling and told myself to expand what I could make into something that people also could enjoy. That's why I decided to establish my very first pattern business.
Most of my patterns are inspired by Batik, a traditional cloth from Indonesia. Nowadays, lots of Indonesians people don't mind to wear Batik as their all-occasions outfits. I'm also convinced that lots of foreigners are also interested in Batik. That's why I decided to be always absorbed Batik pattern and twist it with modern digital art into my pattern.
