About me

I have became fully competent with Apple Mac computers and have experience of desk top publishing and design. I have a good working knowledge of a wide range of software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Quark Express. I also gained an understanding of Adobe After Effect. At university I used InDesign, although the university preferred us to use Quark. I find it easy to teach myself graphic programmes, I am certain that I could learn any other programmes you may use.

At university, as part of my ongoing assessment, I designed book covers, posters, labels, corporate logos, postage stamps and magazine page layouts, combining photography and design. I enjoyed designing book covers because I was able to portray the content of the books creatively on the cover. Designing magazine page layouts gave the opportunity to design within a smaller page template rather than an advertising campaign board, although the impact within the magazine page still had to have the 'jump out at you' affect.
