About me

I have recently completed a Masters Degree in Design Engineering. This intense course of study, embraced a wide range of disciplines. As part of the experience, I was selected to undertake a three-month professional placement within The Jaguar Land Rover Group (JLR). In a research and development role, my remit was to assess the feasibility of introducing a cargo retention system to future models of their top-selling brand. The study entailed benchmarking, liaising with OEM's, JLR's preferred external suppliers and internal analysis teams. The study reached a successful conclusion in terms of a concept that met JLR's criteria of cost, safety and practicality.

The ability to work as part of team whilst utilising strong communication skills, were as important as having the ability to do the job. My experience at JLR afforded me the opportunity to expand upon existing skills and develop technical knowledge within this highly respected automotive environment.
