Dear HYF,

I have read your advertisement for a Junior Graphic Designer with great interest. I believe my skills and qualifications match your requirements and I could bring something interesting to your design team at HYF. Having graduated last year with a First in Art and Design, I have spent these last six months breaking into the graphic design industry. Within this letter I would like to highlight the experience I have gathered within this time.

A large portion of my industry experience has evolved around my elevation from graphic designer to Art Director for HOP Magazine. This exciting new start up is being setup to target modern feminist issues and provide a platform for young talented female professionals. It is expecting to go into print summer of this year and I have been working on the rebranding and development of marketing material across multiple channels creating a unified visual identity that exists across all work produced by HOP. Much of this work can be found in my online portfolio. During my time here at HOP I have had the good fortune to work alongside many industry professionals, including photographers, graphic designers and editors, and having been thrown into the deep end I feel I have learnt a lot in a short space of time. I was responsible for creating the fashion story, mood boards and directing the Christmas editorial shoot, and in recent weeks have been given my own small team of designers for me to manage as the magazine moves closer to print.

In addition to this, I have been working as a freelance graphic designer with the company SONDER - a collaborative network of creative, developers and marketers, offering brand management to SME's and Enterprise Level Businesses. Up to this point I have worked predominantly with fashion-based clients providing improved branding and marketing across websites and social media platforms. This role has required I work closely with the client, making sure I produce the right identity through effective communication. Examples of this work are also in my online portfolio.

With my background in art, experience in design and now fashion, my eye for detail and commitment to consistent high standards - I believe marks me as the ideal candidate for HYF.
