About me

My name is Mónica Howe Montesinos. When I finished my Baccaleraute I started studying Graphic Design at Elisava (Pompeu Fabra), Barcelona, where I obtained the "Graduado Superior en Diseño", aswell as a BA (Hons) in Design from the University of Southampton, both in the year 2006. While I was doing my third year at University I had a training job for three months in an events company (FOCUS), taking charge of updating the website, photographic retouching and layouts.

When I finished my Degree I started working as a grahic designer in a publicity agency called FACTOR ESSENCIAL in Barcelona. In the agency I was in charge of publications (books, magazines, catalogues), publicity (posters, advertisements, leaflets), and corporative identity image. My clients included Fundació Casa Amatller Bacelona, El Cep i la Nansa, BJC, AFAC, Carandini and Central Borne. Since then I've worked as freelance not only in Graphic Design but also in Photography.

I then studied a one year Course of Photography at IDEP School, Barcelona. I just finished an MA in Photojournalism at Westminster University in London.
