About me

I have over ten years' work experience managing accounts, the last seven of which working with some of the UK's leading publishing houses.

Through my career in Publishing I have gained very good knowledge of a variety of fields particularly Food and Drink; Fashion and Design and Hobbies and Lifestyle.

I am currently the Export Sales Manager at Octopus Publishing Group () where I manage a team of five agents in South America, Southern Europe, Africa and the Caribbean, as well as direct accounts across the world.

I sell across a portfolio of illustrated books focused on Lifestyle and Food and Drink, which include personalities and brands such as Ed Sheeran, Gordon Ramsay; BBC Chef Valentine Warner; Simon Rimmer; wine experts Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson; Coca Cola; Lego; restaurant chains Leon and Le Pain Quotidien.

My role is extremely varied and demanding and essential to my position are high accuracy, attention to detail, ability to liaise with different departments and to work closely to deadlines. I'm also a keen traveller and a food blogger and I have experience as a reporter and newsreader for a local TV network. I'm really keen to move outside the Book Publishing Industry and to pursue a career in PR.

My background, within and outside Books Publishing, has given me good organisational and people skills. I am a very committed and reliable person and I always work hard to meet my targets. I am focused, passionate, experienced and mature enough to face bigger responsibilities but also flexible and a strong team player. I could bring experience, positivity, resilience and a high degree of dynamism to my new role.
