About me
I graduated from The BRIT School Of Performing Arts & Technology in 2012 where I studied Theatre and Acting for 4 years. After graduating I began work on the film production of 'Sunshine On Leith' in Glasgow, Scotland. I worked as a production runner and performed in the film's musical sequences.
Since 2013 to current day, I have been travelling solo around the world creating my own experimental and documentary films. Social issues, culture and the people within them are my main focus point. I have been creating my own style of film whilst constantly seeking to learn about the world we live in, to create honest films, true to the subjects I am filming and portraying. Visual film is of great interest to me. I like to explore ways in which to reach out, connect with and move an audience through more than just language. I also use photography as another creative medium.
I started my travels in Australia, South East Asia and India. Whilst away, I worked on the film production of 'Indian Summers' in Penang, Malaysia before volunteering with Tibetan refugees and travelling around India. I then returned home for 1 year and became a member of the National Youth Theatre and studied Documentary at Raindance, London whilst working as a teaching assistant to save up money to continue to travel and make my own films. I returned to the incredible country of India with the intent of making a film on the social status of woman throughout the country, within different castes, in different regions. I have recently returned from South America, continuing with this theme as I want to explore the subject further, in many different countries.
I plan to continue to create my own films, learning through the fascinating cultures and people I am privileged to come into contact with around the world. Travel is very important to me, the education and knowledge I have gained from it and the huge inspiration and influence it has on the work I make.
I am now back in London working as a freelance film maker and photographer and looking to work within the creative world.
