About me
I am a highly motivated individual with a passion for information technology and multimedia. In October 2006 I was awarded a contract position at Griffith University as a Migration Officer and gained a permanent position in January 2008 as a Web Multimedia Developer. I was responsible for a number of web, CD-ROM and audio-visual projects. I received this position six months before graduating with a Bachelor of Multimedia from Griffith University. I resigned in December 2009 to pursue a career in England and migrated in January 2010.
After travelling, I received an opportunity as a front-end web developer at Design Motive in May 2010. During my time in this position I acquired knowledge of a new CMS system (dotNetNuke) as well as furthering my skill with front-end technologies.
In September 2011 I secured a position with View Strategic PLC, which gave me the prospect of becoming team leader. I was able to develop new websites and intranets for several companies including Centrica and Thames Water. I learnt SharePoint and Umbraco to utilise these technologies to develop sites within weeks of starting the position.
Throughout my career I have frequently liaised with the concept creative team, project management, and clients to ensure all requirements are met on strict deadlines. Working in different environments and freelance experience has provided me with excellent research abilities, problem solving, communication skills and time management.
Outside of my studies and employment, I have had vast experience working within a competitive team environment during my participation in state netball, athletics team and surf lifesavings events.
