About me
I am a Graphic Design graduate from London College of Communication, and I am passionate about communication and design in all forms. I am motivated, highly organised and very capable. I have a significant amount of experience working in high-pressure environments ranging from NYLON magazine to the Edinburgh Festival, as well as self motivated projects and freelance work. Im very adaptable, fluent in a wide range of software from Adobe to Final Cut Pro and very capable of being thrown in at the deep end and getting on with it.
At the Edinburgh Festival I was responsible for the design of all the internal and external promotional material, catalogues and advertorials, the print approval of artwork for over 200 productions, re-designing sub standard work, ensuring the right formatting on each piece, sending them to print, and their subsequent distribution and rotation, which involved the precise management of the distribution cupboard, and marketing database.
I have recently returned from New York where I worked for 3rd Ward, a studio complex for high-end professionals that also runs a wide range of classes and events. Here I was given sole responsibility over their widely distributed 48 page promotional magazine and catalogue. Alongside the magazine I was also responsible for all internal proposal design, web visuals, online marketing strategies, promotional print, and writing and updating blog posts and e-mail updates.
Whilst in New York I also worked for NYLON magazine. I was largely responsible for brand proposals, internal promotional spreads outlining the business attributes, online marketing strategies such as subscription e-mails and e-blasts, as well as in-book material such as advertorials. I would be working on several projects at a time for a number of different departments within a high-pressure environment that called for large amounts of time management and efficiency to produce high quality work with proficiency, efficiency and promptness.
Currently, Im working as the press person for the Museum of Everything, responsible for all the promotions from the press release and press packs, listings and event pairings to arranging interviews, private views and tours and databasing the press lists, and tracking the press. Im also working with NOUS, a company who specialize in architectural events and exhibitions, assisting the director in organizing a season of events for the London Festival of Contemporary Culture, supported my the Mayors office.
I like to get involved. I work best as part of a team but am still very capable of taking initiative and working autonomously. I want to learn from you, and bring everything I can to your company.
