Dear Sir/Madam,
I have graduated as a Ba (Hons) Business Management (With Exchange) student at Manchester Metropolitan University. In every aspect of my life I always try to push myself and try to yield great results and feel I could relate greatly to any perspective students. I am very interested in applying for the above post and I have enclosed my CV, which I hope will be of interest.
I would like to apply for the role of Account Manager advertised online. With my experience in Sales and Marketing (including events) I feel I would be the perfect candidate for the position. My most recent employment was situated within sales in a fast growing publishing company, this role has been both challenging and rewarding and I have a learnt many skills during my time within the company. This area is one I believe I can excel in and given the right opportunity I believe I could provide great results.
Within position as a Sales Trainee at Sandhills East, I managed key customer accounts for across Wales, building up customer relations and constantly prospecting new clients. My role within the company involved communication daily with clients via the phone, and also regularly travelling to my territory for personal sales presentations and meetings. By visiting these customers and keeping in contact it enabled me to build professional relationships with each.
During my final year at university, I decided to use someone of my entrepreneurial skillset to set up a business through the Young Enterprise scheme. This course required me to be innovative in order to achieve the greatest outcome, discovering and exploiting a gap in the market. The success of this project resulted in the business receiving awards from Barclays and John Lewis, for "The Use of Technology" and "The Best Stand" at the Young Enterprise Regional Finals; we were also awarded "University Business of the Year". This experience is a proven success as the business is still currently running.
Communication is a key skill in which I have demonstrated throughout past positions and also during my studies. Throughout my time at university I was required to prepare and present a range of topics to my peers. As part of Young Enterprise it was essential that I presented clear information to possible clients and investors, also during the Young Enterprise Regional Finals I was required to present in front of all other competing teams along with a number of professional judges.
I am computer literate, obtaining Level 3 IT Key Skills at A-Level, where I demonstrated an intermediate level of Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Mailmerge. I am able to access, edit and save files in a variety of formats, including pdf. Through working in Sandhills I have developed a strong understanding of using Photoshop and Indesign
