About me

I am a portrait, editorial, and commercial photographer based out of Madison, WI. My life is a bit of a mosaic in terms of experience, interests, skills, and vocation. I have lived in three countries (USA, Spain, France), spent extended periods in two others (Mexico, Morocco), studied philosophy (undergraduate) and theology (graduate), been an athlete on a high level team, traveled with a band, and I have a multi-cultural, multi-lingual, multi-ethnic family (Vive la France!).

But one thread runs through my life—I love people, and their stories fascinate me.

When I shoot, whether for an individual, a company, or an institution, my goal is for the images to match the beauty and dignity that I see in that person or company. From showing the community around a local brewery to documenting the resilience of Vietnam War Era refugees who have carried traditional farming with them throughout life, people are my passion.

I didn't plan on becoming a photographer, but when I realized that I could use it to capture and display the beautiful essence of a person for others to experience, I couldn't stop.
