About Mieke
An editor-turned-project-manager, I'm looking to enter the copywriting/marketing space.
I've always been interested in languages, linguistics and literature. I studied BA (Language and Culture) and BAHons (Translation) at Stellenbosch University. After my studies, I worked as a Junior English Editor and later Lead English Editor at Pixelogic Media. And in May 2025, I started working as a Project Manager at MSS Cape Town, a language/translation agency.
Currently I'm busy with a copywriter course through Word Tonic, and I'm keen to work on any freelance copywriting work to build my copywriting portfolio.
