About me
I've worked in visual merchandising for over forty years, and my approach is shaped by a deep understanding of how people actually shop. I study the science behind customer behaviour — how they move through space, what captures their attention, and what influences their decisions — and I use that insight to guide every element of a retail environment.
I treat VM as both an artistic discipline and a behavioural one. I use colour with intention: colour that pops to lead the eye, create clarity, and highlight the product story. My work focuses on designing spaces that feel intuitive, calm, and visually compelling, while remaining grounded in measurable customer patterns.
I love what I do. After four decades, I'm still fascinated by the psychology of retail and the impact a well‑crafted display can have on how someone feels, moves, and chooses. That blend of creativity and behavioural science is at the centre of my practice.
Throughout my career, I've worked with high‑end luxury brands to create stories people can believe in. I've designed and delivered projects all over the world, bringing a consistent sense of clarity, emotion, and commercial intelligence to every space. I've also served on the board of the British Display Society, helping to champion best practice and support the future of the industry.
Public speaking has become an important part of my work too — sharing the craft, the science, and the passion behind the subject I love. My recent clients include Joe Browns and Harley‑Davidson, where I continue to apply my experience to create environments that connect, inspire, and perform.
In short, I love my job which I believe shows through my work.
