About me

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing further to your announcement published on Creativepool, and I am pleased to send you my application for the position of Motion Graphics Designer.

This opportunity at Source is the logical next step in my career. As a Video Editor with over 10 years of experience, it is my challenge and passion is to join a team of professionals, such as yours, dedicated to reflecting on and innovating in the area of image creation and video editing.

During my studies in cinematography at the Columbia College Film School in Chicago (USA), I worked as film director, cameraman and editor. I deepened my knowledge in various audio-visual specialties, and worked on a wide variety of films such as documentaries, narrative films, promotional videos, institutional films. After completing 4 years of studies, I obtained my B.A with a major in cinematography (Director of Photography).

As a French native who lived in the United States for 7 years, I am perfectly bilingual.

In 2005, shortly after returning to France, I created my company - Gmediart - specialized in the production of institutional films. Some of my clients included L'OREAL, LVMH, ADIE and many more. As a freelance professional, my daily challenge was to find solutions to the difficulties that can arise during audio-visual productions. My priority was to adapt to my client's needs both in terms of production and post-production, and abiding by their brand and image guidelines. Provided that I was involved in all production phases (from pre to post), my skills were reinforced and I was able to deliver quality videos while respecting my client's time constraints.

Since 2012, I joined the company Videlio Events (formerly known as Utram) as Motion Designer/Video Editor/Cameraman. I developed my knowledge in innovative solutions such as dynamic display and augmented reality. I also consolidated my post-production skills while working on logo animation; video creation, 3D video as well as a multitude of institutional films for the French Ministry of Education and companies such as Hitachi, Yves Rocher, The City of Paris etc. My job responsibilities also include file coding in a variety of formats an on many types of media, which has strengthened my knowledge in codecs and aspect ratios.

I would be delighted to meet you to learn more about this job opportunity and further discuss my skills and experience in connection with your collaborative needs. You can access my animated Curriculum Vitae , and my video demos with the following link:

Please feel free to contact me by phone on or by e-mail at

Relocation to the UK is not a problem and I can be present at your offices any day you require for an interview.

Sincerely,

Michel Grangenois
