About me

Dear Sir / MadamI have very recently graduated from Loughborough University with a 1st in Industrial Design and Technology, and I feel that this result highlights my motivation and determination to succeed. Over the course of my four-year program I have taken on board a wide range of skills, from concept work to CAD and rendering to product testing and evaluation. I have gained the ability to see a project right the way through from an initial idea to a working prototype, learning to use Solidworks, Pro Engineer, the Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering packages such as Bunkspeed Hypershot in the process.On top of my undergraduate studies I have completed 2 years in industry. The first was prior to university for a Landscape Design company based in Canterbury. My role as junior designer largely centered around landscape visualizations and some limited outdoor furniture design.More recently, and more relevant, was a year spent working for Smiths Medical International in Folkestone. I was part of a large design and development team, and spent the majority of my time working on anesthesia and airway products. My role ranged from concept work to product testing and validation and involved a large amount of communication with clinicians and end users.
