About me

Hi I'm Mike. Or Michael, MJ, MC... I'm 25 and a 2007 graduate from
Ravensbourne uni with a BA in Interaction Design and have been working
in retail since! I really enjoy designing and love the rare
opportunities I get to sit down and continue briefs, with music on,
coffee to one side and cheese on toast gently bubbling from it's hot
visit in the grill... hmmm. It's great fun and gives me deep
satisfaction to sit back and look at semiotics come to life.

But lately I've been feeling that my aptitude is slipping away
because of the retail job I currently hold. I don't want this to
happen! What have I been doing to keep the fire alive
designing logos, flyers, cd covers for artists, simple websites and
reading books about HCI (Human Computer Interaction). I give advice to
charities and student unions on projects they run and give a helping
hand to friends who may need it. I really want to kick-start my career
in design, team with a studio family to grow and expand with and get
closer to the current stream of design. I'm ready to add value to
you, I'm ready to offer and apply my skills and aptitude to your
environment and I'm so ready to follow you toward your goals.

I'm a motivated person who is organised, outgoing and proactive; I
enjoy being around people and always seek to be of help. I am friendly,
mature, responsible and loyal and seek to put my knowledge to optimum
use within a challenging or working environment. I can work under
pressure and prioritise different situations as they arise. I have
learned the wisdom of teamwork as well as working alone using my own
initiative.
