About me

I am a very innovative individual who is able to work alone and with
a team. My experience both in my current work environment and the
various voluntary organisations partnered with has gifted me with an
array of skills, which have been attained over the last 3 years.

As a forward thinker, I have, since joining my recent place of
employment put into place a lot of efficient working methods which
ensure projects are done not only on time, but also empower people to
understand their responsibilities. I have also recently introduced
Process Maps for managers' and members of the department thereby
helping them easily identify weekly targets. My ability to work alone
and to targets has helped ensure that all processes needed are
completed on a weekly basis. I was also able to introduce a system to
design, print and package by using Adobe Photoshop to design the DVD
and CD series packaging, layering it in Microsoft Publisher and then
printing to have it manually guillotined and ready within two weeks for
sale at every month end.

As the head of the department, I am also responsible for the time
tabling of staff by making sure of effective rotation of staff and also
monitoring of staff development/progress. Where needed, training
requirements are identified and planned appropriately. Having monthly
one to ones with my sub heads and making sure that the department is
working well also closely monitors staff discipline and attendance.
Where there are, or maybe issues, it is quickly dealt with and there is
an attendance system set up on an Excel spreadsheet where punctuality
and attendance is continuously monitored. The statistics for all this
data are generated as both line graphs and pie charts from the
recordings entered into the Excel Spreadsheet and it helps me
effectively scrutinise any weakness that may become apparent in this
area.

As a driven person, I use my initiative to ensure set team targets
are met when the team is behind. For instance, I have had to put in
extra hours of my time to cover for members of my team who had been
indisposed to complete their tasks. Previous experience in of about 5
years in the retail industry also means that I have very good customer
relation's capabilities and I'm able to use the tilling
system very efficiently.

Further to all the above experience, I have also built up
relationships from scratch between the local council (Thurrock) and the
church by having meetings with various organisations within the council
and sending documents relating to issues within the community.
Community cohesion has been a task I have fully committed to and have
through this helped build strong links with all the various networks
within the community by fully participating in the organisation of
major events such as The Black History Month, Holocaust Memorial and
Thurrock Festival.
