I am currently studying textiles at Hull College of Art and Design. I hope to have my own studio one day. I create in my spare time.

I am skilled in Visual Merchandising, Set Creation, Feature Writing, Blogging, Fabric Design, Stencilling and Printing.

Sector Experience

I have worked entirely in retail (so far!). I am currently studying my passion. I have experience in all aspects of customer service, though for the majority of my working life I worked at the Next Home store on St. Andrews Quay. I usually took on Visual Merchandising jobs and replenishment. I enjoyed setting the stock out, making everything look pretty under heavy artificial lighting. Decorating roomsets, setting colours off against each other. Thats why I decided to study Textiles, in order to create some beautiful things that might inspire somebody else to want to createbeautiful things. I write periodically for a local independent publication, available free throughout the city of Hull. I think people would desribe it as edgy and alternative. I have an unadulterated freedom when it comes to writing for 'Tenfootcity, and have permission to write what I jolly well please, which I take to be somewhat of a compliment. I am currently building my portfolio.
