About me
I am a chatty, extrovert character that always has a million ideas running through my head.
Since I left university I have pursued the career path of sales, despite my degree in Physics and my desire to work in a creative industry. This is due to my friendly, trustworth persona which lends itself neatly to sales roles, roles of which I have succeeded in. However the culture of these companies is completely at odds with my own. I prefer to think and create solutions to problems, rather than follow a step by step guide. Also the "professional" nature of these companies is to stifle individuality and promote commonality, whereas i need to express my personality to feel comfortable in a role.
I am constantly seeking new challenges and focus best when these challenges push my capabilities. In my new role I am looking for position that will constantly keep me busy and always be asking questions of me mentally. For me, success is seeing things through to the end and being proud of what you have achieved.
Although I have a lack of formal training in the creative industries, since I left university; i have begun writing a novel of which a small extract is posted on slapastory.com,
I have invented a totally unique product which is currently in preprodution and I have been building a small portfolio of sketches and ideas.
I appreciate the fact that i have little to no experience in your chosen industry, however I am a grounded and well rounded individual who has proven on many occasions that I can suceeded at anything I lend my hand to. Being involved in a creative industry would mean I would finally have a genuine desire to do my role on a day to day basis.
