Mauricio has been with Leo Burnett since 2002 and 2015 he was promoted to Chief Creative Officer.

He's had the chance of working for several international accounts like: Coca-Cola, P&G, Directv, DIAGEO, Toyota, Movistar, Carrefour, Samsung, Kelloggs, McDonalds, Falabella, Mercedes Benz, DHL, AB inBen, WWF.

In his career he has accomplished important awards in different Advertising Festivals like: Cannes Lions, London Festival Awards, Clio Awards, One Show, New York Festival, D&AD, Epica Awards, El Sol, Fiap, Ojo de Iberoamérica, Wave, APAP, El Dorado and Nova.

In 2014 he received the first Grand Prix of Cannes Lions Health in the history of Colombia with the campaign Cancer Tweets, developed for the Bogota's Cancer League

Mauricio has served as juror in different festivals like: Clio Awards, New York Festival, President in one category for El Ojo de Iberoamérica 2014, El Sol, FIAP, Wave Festival, President for Young Lions 2018, Festival de Antigua y El Volcán.

In 2019 he represent Colombia as a jury at Cannes Lions in the Direct category.

In 2020, according to the Scope studio, Mauricio is one of the 10 most relevant people of creative agencies in Colombia

In 2021, The Drum published the Top 100 Ranking of the best CCOs in the world and Mauricio is part of the ranking.

In the ART DIRECTORS CLUB ranking 2021, Mauricio was the CCO Top 1 in Latam.
