About me
I am a retoucher with 10 years experience and a strong background in the photographic and imaging sector.
I currently work on a freelance basis and have recently been responsible for all the image repro (retouching/colour correcting) on the The Daily Mail's Olympic Souvenir Publication (The Games). I also work at a studio specialising in ecommerce photography and for Debenhams, where I retouched images at the shoot for their Christmas Beauty Products campaign.
For 7 years I was one of only two retouchers responsible for all the retouching, colour correcting and editing of images for the Mail on Sundays's You Magazine, liaising with the Art Director and Picture Editor to produce the best possible images for the award winning magazine.
The last few years of my time at Associated Newspapers was spent as an image technician across all their titles (Mail. Mail on Sunday, Evening Standard, Weekend, Live and ES) as well as those of the Independent Newspapers. This meant working to a shift rota and very tight deadlines, whilst maintaining a high standard of retouching.
Previous to this I was colour printer at Joe's Basement. I printed, from both negatives and transparencies, for exhibitions and displays. The majority of the work being for professional photographers, magazines and large companies.
