About me

A graphic designer with a love for all design principles and a particular passion for packaging and brand creation/redesign. I like to take on projects that push me out of my comfort zone as I believe this leads to the most creative work. Going forward I am keen to pursue new skills and be a part of projects that challenge me in new and exciting ways.

Sector Experience

Rare Design, Richmond, Graphic Design Placement, While at Rare I worked along side the print designer on a number of print and presentation, projects. One of the projects I particularly enjoyed was the creation of a number of planets, the aim being to communicate the consumers feelings towards a particular brand in a more visually interesting manner. The elements I created were used in the presentation to the client., This opportunity also allowed me to see how a design agency works on a day to day basis,, as well as gaining a deeper knowledge of the design process; from receiving a brief, to the, discussion of ideas and strategy before moving onto creation and feedback., The Institute of Credit Management, Graphic Designer, Volunteering at a local company in the design department has allowed me keep encountering new challenges. My role has been to reinvigorate a number of the printed materials such as flyers and welcome packs which are sent out to the members.

Awards

University of Lincoln (New College Stamford), BA (Hons) Graphic Design 2:1, During my degree I completed a number of project briefs, including branding, packaging,, editorial, and more conceptual briefs. I have also completed a number of written projects of varying lengths on a variety of design subjects, oral presentations on my projects and a 8,000 word dissertation during my time at university. The topic of my dissertation was branding and identity, looking at whether small brands can grow without losing their unique identity. I have learnt to keep to tight deadlines and to prioritise the work needed to be done.
