Matthew's work

I am an energetic, motivated, creative and conscientious Graphic Designer with a great eye for detail. I graduated; BA (Hons) in Graphic Design from the University for the Creative Arts, Epsom in 2008. While studying for my degree I learnt both traditional and new media graphic design practices. These included the manipulation of type and images, digital photography, layout, editorial and corporate design all to industry standards, as well as Flash animation, website design, HTML and CSS.Print and web design have always excited me, which is why I chose to study Graphic Design: New Media at university. I have been freelance designing for a small portfolio of clients since graduating. I am an experienced user of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office for Mac and PC and I work extensively with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash and Dreamweaver. As you can see from my CV and website, I have designed and fabricated websites, brand identities, editorial layouts, posters, and leaflets for freelance clients. Most of my current design work involves working within strict brand guidelines, incorporating existing corporate identity. I am used to working to deadlines, prioritising projects and working within tight budgets. I have always enjoyed working as part of a team. I have excellent communication skills and always liaise and negotiate with others to ensure the smooth running and successful completion of briefs, projects and activities.
