About me

My recent design work has been balanced around urban culture and the modern music scene.I have had a paricular interest in japenese graphics/graffiti and stencil art.Ive tryed to make connections within my design work and the music i listen to. I have been influenced by the following designers and design companies : Designers of the republic,Inkonstruction and Mod Media,so:me Ed banger,also the visual work of Warp records especially Chris Cunningham. A lot of the films i watch have also been ongoing influences towards my designs.Visonary directors like Stanley Kubrick,David Kronenberg,David Lynch and Ridley Scott i feel were very visually driven.Films such as Blade Runner,Videdrome and 2001 Space Odyssey are futuristic films i highly regard.The animation in manga especially Akira and Spirited Away i find very urban and contain very graphic imagery. I also like and Ari Folman's waltz with bashir. The graphic designers work i admire are David Carson(end of print),Peter Saville(designed),Neville Brody(no more rules) also the stencil art of Banksy. My music interests are wide and range from the french disco and techno scenes to the eighties italo/disco and electronica genres.I'm also taken by more experimental artists on labels like Warp,Planet mu,kompakt,Ghostly international,Minus and B pitch control.I have always sort influence from growing up in the eighties,so in relation i feel my work conveys the nostalgic eighties feeling.
