About me

Hello.

I'm a director/filmmaker with advertising and broadcast experience. I've also worked as a lighting cameraman shooting on all formats. While I'm based in the UK, I've worked around the world on projects of differing sizes and schedules, and I'm pretty much good wherever I'm dropped.

Most of my directing work to date has been either documentary or documentary inflected, but I'm happy across genres, subjects and durations. From complex studio and location shoots to smaller films, my work is varied in its execution. Additionally many of the projects on my reel have taken me from pitch to script. I write as a sideline and I'm happy either working on my own or collaborating with writers and others to get an idea flying. I'm client friendly and can read a room.

I have a good handle on post production and can edit myself if needed (Davinci/FCP/Premier) I've also briefed and overseen VFX sequences from shoot to completion. And I've worked closely with composers to develop music tracks for many of the projects I've made.

In a nutshell, I'm a friendly creative who loves the work and gets on with pretty much anyone. I value the collaborative nature of the business and firmly believe the job should be satisfying for all involved.
