About me

I am a highly motivated graduate looking to start a career in advertising within a creative agency's account services department. I strongly believe that I have demonstrated the skills required to succeed in this sector. Through my degree I built up critical thinking skills, excellent writing skills and demonstrated an ability for creative problem solving. Within my work experience, I have demonstrated a fantastic work ethic, managed projects effectively, under budget and to deadlines, and worked well with a variety of people, both in the UK and overseas.

I demonstrated excellent project management skills, partnership building skills, an ability to work in a challenging environment with a wide variety of people from different cultural backgrounds and excellent written communication skills in producing marketing materials whilst working for an environmental charity in Delhi. , I have demonstrated excellent communication skills throughout my work experience, degree and extra curricular activities. I have written formal stories for news agency, opinion columns for student newspapers, humerous and off beat reviews for an online magazine and marketing material and press releases for a charity campaign. When working overseas I developed excellent oral communication when engaging with people with limited english., Throughout my degree I demonstrated an ability to digest complex and conflicting information and theories and then use creative problem solving to resolve an academic question.

Sector Experience

I have experience from an internship at a creative advertising and PR agency. During this placement I was exposed to all elements of the agency process and gained an understanding of the way the industry works, the way work is produced and the roles each department plays. From this I feel that a role in Account Services best suits my interests and skills., During this internship I was also involved with discussions on how the agency can best use social media to raise its own profile. , In my other work experience I have taken the initiative to become involved in producing marketing material. For example when I worked on a campaign for an Indian NGO in Delhi I was heavily involved in producing marketing material for the Indian general public, press releases and articles aimed at young people in the UK.
