31/07//08/2007 Five Week Work Placement - Publicis Groupe, London

Throughout my five-week work placement alongside the creative team at Publicis Groupe, I looked at how everything worked within an advertising agency. Working on visual layouts for Jacobs, Yeo Valley and Nescafe. I was then able to understand more about typography within advertising, how type can evoke a certain feeling and change your perspective of a product your trying to sell.

Working within the publishing company, giving me a clear understanding of the

Design with in children's books, from looking through the artwork for irregularities, to layout and compositional ideas for covers. Experimenting with typography, looking at line breaks, spacing and file sharing.

Travelling Spent two months in Australia where I travelled up the West coast.I then went on to spend three months in Ghana West Africa where I coached under privileged children football, Art and English in schools all around the country. This to me was a life changing experience seeing the way other cultures live with so little in the way of food and resources
